“Work-of-art”
piano by the artist Aki Kuroda produced by Pleyel in partnership with
Galerie Maeght (France).Aki Kuroda is an artist with a multidisciplinary
quality, who gives life to his works in highly elaborate scene designs.
This piano is an echo to the artist’s art work “Cosmogarden”, a channel
where music and light take place side by side, and a work that rests on
the backdrop of the cosmic night, a night that spreads out like a
flower, the cosmos where mankind’s silhouette can be perceived.
The
brightness of the lacquer, stenciling, contrasting forms and colours
enhance the graphic and poetic nature materialized by the flower and the
body shape. Spacemeeting is the result of spontaneity and movement of
form sprouting from the lashes of the artist. The vividness of this
piano, enhanced by its shine, proceeds from his vision – extremely
serene but somewhat violent – of the universe.
The poetry of the
flower Aki Kuroda is so fond of soothes the cosmic geometry of the lid
and the presence of man in the universe.
