HERITAGE

Although countless Pleyel pianos experienced tremendous success throughout the two-century existence of the French manufacturer, the P models remain unquestionably one of its greatest achievements… which earned them the nickname “king of the uprights”!
The upright pianos of the P series are still manufactured today with the same exacting quality standards to ensure that your piano gives you all the musicality and enjoyment of playing as a grand piano.
All the model P upright pianos can include a matching bench and are equipped with a silent system.

A blend of tradition and modernity

The P131R is a tribute to the painter Pierre-Auguste Renoir who used this emblematic piano by Pleyel as the model for “Woman at the piano” painted in 1876.  This instrument retains the classical aesthetics of the mythical Pleyel P131 upright piano of the time but with a resolutely modern satin black finish. This piano embodies the best of traditional craftsmanship while benefitting from all the musical attributes of a contemporary Pleyel. The accuracy of its touch combined with the Pleyel action offers pianists of all abilities a wide range of tones and nuances.

Tribute to Renoir

This re-release of a historical Pleyel piano, immortalized by an oil on canvas painted in 1892, “Young girls at the piano”, pays tribute to Pierre-Auguste Renoir. This upright piano in satin mahogany, inspired by the famous P131 model, offers all the fullness of expression of a grand piano, from its deep full bass notes to the fine and delicate trebles, with a strength of expression and a subtly nuanced dynamic touch.

Two centuries of tradition and savoir-faire are thus brought together in this unique piano.
